If you have an Analog TV and you think you need a converter box to meet the February 2009 government deadline, you should find all the information you need listed below. Make sure you read our home page or the Digital TV Ruling FAQ to decide if you do in fact need a converter box. Please be advised that you are not required to buy a converter box, but if you do not and you have an analog TV that is unable to receive Digital broadcasts, you will not be able to view any programming that is received through an Antenna.
The current Government program allows each household to apply for up to two coupons worth $40.00 each. Each coupon can only apply to one purchase towards a qualifying Digital TV Converter.
Each converter box is expected to cost between $50.00 and $70.00. It would be wise to apply for these coupons as soon as possible. Waiting till the last minute will probably result in a long wait before you get your coupons.
You can apply for your coupon in any of the following ways,
